CFTSS

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services

What it is:

Preventative behavioral health services that come to your home, school, or wherever your child is most comfortable.

Who it’s for:

Children dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as behavioral or emotional challenges.

What it includes:

  • Therapy and counseling
  • Behavioral health support
  • Crisis intervention
  • Services available without needing to go to a clinic

Care Management

What it is:

A care manager helps coordinate all of your child’s services and keeps everything organized.

Who it’s for:

Children with complex medical, emotional, or developmental needs who need help managing care across different providers and programs.

What it Does:

  • Assigns a care manager to your family
  • Helps you understand and access services
  • Coordinates between doctors, schools, and therapists
  • Creates and updates a care plan tailored to your child

Peer Support

What it is:

Support from people who have been through similar challenges and can offer understanding, encouragement, and guidance.

Who it’s for:

Children and teens who would benefit from talking to someone who’s been in their shoes — and parents who need extra support too.

What it includes:

  • One-on-one support from trained peers
  • Help building confidence and coping skills
  • Guidance through tough transitions
  • Emotional support for both kids and caregivers

HCBS

Home and Community-Based Services

What it is:

Specialized services that help children with a mental health diagnosis grow stronger in everyday life — at home, after school, and in the community.

Who it’s for:

Children with significant emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges who need extra support outside of a clinic or hospital.

What it includes:

  • Skill-building (social skills, self-care, communication)
  • Family support and training
  • Crisis prevention and planning
  • Support with school or community involvement

OPWDD

Office for People With Developmental Disabilities

What it is:

Long-term services for children with developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, or intellectual delays.

Who it’s for:

Children diagnosed with developmental disabilities who need daily support, supervision, or skill-building.

What it includes:

  • Ongoing support services at home or in the community
  • Help with communication, independence, and behavior
  • Respite care for parents and caregivers
